Hello, all
This past month has been filled with excitement and a great blessing. After visiting some family in San Diego last week, I came back and flew into Georgia with my parents. Since the beginning of our one-week training camp, I have heard inspiring messages and had compelling discussions with various people. Currently training are four squads (mine to Guatemala, one to South Africa, one to Jamaica and one to Thailand + Cambodia). My squad will depart for Guatemala on Monday, and we have been praying potently for the Spirit to reveal Himself to us.
For the past few days I've met folks who have already served with the World Race. I have met and prayed over fellow newcomers, that they would enjoy their experience and know Jesus more at the end. I have even heard about some intense spiritual encounters and experiences from my squad-mates. Our free time has been occupied with worship, prayer, theological and faith-centered discussions and blessings from the Lord. I feel that He has even used me to speak into some fellow believers here.
There is much more detail that I could dig into, but let me leave you with this bit of wisdom: the Spirit has been reminding me of two points: one, that we are the dwelling of the Holy Spirit. I mean that God wants to enjoy life with us - He's not some far off being whose attention we must compete for or earn; and two, to wait on Him. He is working wonders, even when we do not directly see it, even when we do not receive some magnificent revelation. Also, we can live life on His clock, rather than always striving and failing to keep up ourselves.
Blessings to you,
Daniel
